PC-PUMP® v3.3.2

C-FER Technologies has released an updated version of PC-PUMP, v3.3.2. This release is available to all users who are subscribed to the 2013 Maintenance Plan. The new version of PC-PUMP fixes a bug with the Preferences window in v3.3.1 where a unit conversion was being applied multiple times to pump friction torque when using Oilfield units.

C-FER Technologies has released an updated version of PC-PUMP, v3.3.1. This release is available to all users who are subscribed to the 2013 Maintenance Plan. The new version of PC-PUMP fixes a calculation error related to Inflow Performance Relationships (IPRs) in v3.3.

C-FER Technologies is pleased to announce the release of PC-PUMP v3.3. This release is available to all users who are subscribed to the 2013 Maintenance Plan. The new version of PC-PUMP fixes several bugs identified by users and incorporates new features that increase the software’s usability.

Some of the new features in PC-PUMP v3.3 include:

Heat Transfer Module. PC-PUMP can now perform heat transfer calculations to determine the produced fluid temperature profile based on the ground temperature profile. The initial release of this module is limited to cases using single phase fluids and where the pump is landed above the mid-perforations. Please contact C-FER Technologies if you require additional capabilities with the heat transfer module.

Rod String Space Out. The thermal effects on rod string deflection in the space out analysis have been updated to work in conjunction with the new heat transfer module. The previous method of entering the average ground temperature can also still be used.

Pop-up Windows Improvement. Window positioning for dual monitors has been improved so that pop-up windows appear centered on the current position of the program instead of the primary monitor. This release also features a “mode-less” Analysis Calculation Messages window to allow users to continue using other parts of the PC-PUMP program while the Analysis Calculation Messages window is still open.

Pump Orbital Diameter Check. PC-PUMP now checks that the tubing drift diameter of the last tubing joint is large enough to accommodate the orbital diameter of the pump. Previously, PC-PUMP checked the tubing drift diameter up to a fixed value of 3m above the stator. This update is intended to better reflect the actual remediation of the pump orbit diameter exceeding the tubing drift diameter, which would require adding a larger diameter tubing joint directly above the pump.

Installation Notes - Please Read

User files containing custom equipment, wellbore geometry, sample sessions and pump tests are now located in a PC-PUMP folder in the User folder under Documents and Settings. If you are using Windows 7, the user folder is now located in the Users directory.
